Kinder Morgan, an international energy transportation and pipeline company, retained Anderson Engineering to complete land surveying and engineering services to determine the most feasible route, conduct topographic and existing condition surveys, prepare plan and profile mapping, conduct right-of-way and boundary surveys and stake the construction route for 13 miles of new CO2 pipeline in southwest Colorado. This project involved working with private land owners, and county governments to determine a route and design an alignment for the pipeline. As-built surveys were completed to locate existing utilities and other obstacles to facilitate choosing a path of "least resistance" for the pipeline route. Following the successful completion of this project, Anderson Engineering was selected as a preferred provider for engineering and land surveying services for Kinder Morgan in the four corners region. Anderson and Kinder Morgan have recently negotiated a new multi-year agreements for Anderson to provide such services.
