Owner: Beehive Telephone
Project Budget: Confidential
Services Provided: Land Surveying, Design, Right-of-Way Research

Beehive Telephone, a western region local telephone provider to rural markets, retained Anderson Engineering to complete right-of-way research, an existing conditions survey, route location design, and construction staking for approximately 16 miles of new fiber optic cable installation adjacent to Interstate 80 west of Salt Lake City, UT. The final route design crossed both public and private land which included coordinating with state highway, city, county governments and private owners to determine a suitable route for a new fiber optic cable. This project included numerous detailed existing condition surveys of existing facilities, utility lines and highway improvements to select a route for the new cable along this heavily used corridor. Anderson's responsibility on this project also included research and field survey to determine right-of-way and private ownership boundaries, create access agreements and easements as needed for cable installation. Following achievement and design of a suitable route, Anderson provided construction staking for installation of new fiber optic cable.
